×Utaggit's Universal Tagging Integration Tool is an online service that evolves the age old practice of labeling personal property with one's name and contact information. With Utaggit, instead of writing your whole name and contact information on a limited "real estate" , you only need to write your contact link. A Contact Link is a short URL such as kontak.me/globetrotter. Adding it on your tags or labels makes your tag "hold more information" and it can do more than just identify that an object is associated with you. You can add more practical information such as a message to whoever finds your property, or add a "return to" address, send a location info and perhaps even add flight information if the tag will be used for airline baggage handling. The benefit varies depending on how you use it. In general the benefits are as follows:
‣ Convenience: Saves you time and effort from manually editing all your bag tags because there is actually nothing to edit. If you ever need to manually write something when you are creating your tags, you simply have to write the following sample phrase "Found my stuff? Pls. open my contact link to contact me: kontak.me/globetrotter " and you'll only have to do this only once if your bag tag is designed to last.

‣ You get 1 random short URL which you can write on your tags ; personalized labels and pre-printed tags are available for orders at kontak.me.
‣ Privacy mode : Choose to hide your contact information or show it to facilitate immediate connection with the finder. When in private mode, the person who opens your contact link can still securely send you a message without revealing your contact information.
‣ Easy switching between two (2) addresses : This feature allows you to easily switch between your home address and a pre-defined destination address.
‣ Supports upload of photos for easier identification of lost items. This will also allow you to use the single URL for multiple items.
‣ "Leave a message" feature allows the owner to leave a note to the finder.
‣ Editable destination address makes it possible to inform the finder or your airline to deliver your lost luggage at your destination and not to your home address.‣ Supports Call, SMS, and e-mail messaging function. The buttons below become visible when you turn OFF your privacy mode.
‣ Geo Location support ; location accuracy can vary depending on the device used to open the contact link. Smartphones that have the location service turned ON can provide a specific location in a map. Otherwise, only a general area can be provided.
‣ Auto page refresh ensures that the information in the finder's UI gets updated when you update your tag status. The page refreshes automatically every 10 minutes. The Finder can refresh the page by reloading the page of the browser.

FOR NEW USERS:
- BUY our tags directly from our site or from our affiliate online resellers.
- SCAN the QR code of the tag. It should redirect you to the tag activation page. Internet access is required.
- CREATE an online account. This account will allow you to control the contents of your virtual tag. By default, Utaggit will set your privacy settings to 'PRIVATE'. Take a picture of your bags where you are attaching the bag tags. They will come in handy when retrieving a lost baggage (hope that it never happens).
- ATTACH and SECURE the tag on your bag or property using the stainless steel cable. The best place to put it is inside an unlocked pocket of your bag where airlines can easily access it in case your bag is lost and found. If there is no pocket available, the luggage handle may be a good alternative as long as it does not hamper your usage, safety and comfort. Important note: A dangling bag tag may accidentally get caught on hooks or loose fittings or loose fixtures in the airport's luggage conveyor or baggage carousel. Attach it in a secure location as possible.

FOR EXISTING USERS:- BUY our tags directly from our site or from our affiliate online resellers.
- LOG-IN to your Utaggit account.
- Click the ADD button on your control panel.
- SCAN the QR code of the tag. It should redirect you to the tag activation page.
- ATTACH and SECURE the tag on your bag or property using the stainless steel cable.
- You're good to GO. The tag is now associated to your Utaggit account.
IF YOUR BAG GETS LOST
- Log into your account.
- Upload a picture of the bag that you lost if you have not uploaded one yet.
- If someone finds your bag and scans the QR code, a notification message from whoever opens your contact link will be sent to your email and into your control panel. The finder can send you a message via email without directly knowing your email address.
- If the finder shared his/her location info and contact information, congratulations, consider your lost item found.
- If you received a message without any info on the finder or the bag location, you can opt to you set your privacy to OFF so that the finder can call you directly and you can send a message to the finder as well. Warning note: If privacy is OFF, anybody who opens your contact link or scans your tag can see your contact information .
- Important: Be careful if you are attempting to retrieve your lost item from unknown people.
